New C.A.R.E.S. Session Starting on Tuesday

Dear Reader,

As parents, we know that raising a child with autism can come with a lot of different emotions. There can be relief when you finally have some answers, but also worry, confusion, frustration, or just the feeling of, “Okay…now what?”

There really isn’t a right or wrong way to feel, and there definitely isn’t a perfect roadmap for figuring everything out.

That’s one of the reasons I love the C.A.R.E.S. parent support group. It’s a chance to sit down with other parents who understand some of what you’re going through. You can ask questions, share what’s been working (or not working), learn about resources, or just listen.

Our fall group starts:

Tuesday, September 15
7:00–9:00 PM
Hoover Elementary School
369 Elton Hills Drive NW, Rochester

We’ll talk about things like navigating school and medical systems, therapies and community resources, financial resources, advocacy, and whatever questions parents bring with them.

You don’t have to come with questions or have everything figured out. Sometimes it’s just nice to be around people who get it. If you have participated in C.A.R.E.S. in the past we would love to have you involved as well.

I hope to see you there!

Elizabeth
